McCloud on DVD

McCloud was premiered on the 1st of February 1970 and lasted on the 1st of April 1977. It runs for seven (7) seasons with forty-six (46) episodes. It tackles the exploit of a Deputy U.S. Marshal named Sam McCloud.

Sam McCloud played by Dennis Weaver was a brilliant investigator and Deputy U.S. Marshal from Taos, New Mexico that travels to New York to find an escaped criminal. In New York he met and falls for Chris Coughlin, a reporter and cousin of the deputy police commissioner. After finding the criminal, he was assigned to the 21st Precinct of New York Police Department (NYPD) as Chris had convinces his cousin to request Sam for a temporary duty with the NYPD.

McCloud was assigned to the detective bureau that was headed by Chief Peter B. Clifford. He was given by Clifford nothing but common cases but McCloud always ends up with cases such as drug busts, and other major crimes. He was helped by Sgt. Joe Broadhurst played by Terry Carter and they solve cases with the combination of good police work and laid back country ways.
